Elena is the Culture Editor at PolicyMic. A Princeton University graduate with a degree in English, Elena is a lover of 20th century American fiction. Prior to her time at PolicyMic, she spent two and a half years in Thailand where she taught English at a university and wrote articles about travel and South East Asian affairs. Elena now lives in her hometown of Brooklyn, New York. When she's not on PolicyMic, she can be found reading Jane Austen novels, watching Judd Apatow movies, or eating good-ol'-fashioned Cuban home cooking.
